What is Play More Charlotte?

Play More believes that play is a right and a physiological need... and not just for children! Too many adults don't get the opportunity to play because they're too busy fighting to survive. Some folks may see playfulness as flippant or escapist in this intense season of systemic hatred and social injustice, but we believe that play builds empathy, deepens our connection to each other, provides opportunities for small businesses to support one another, and serves as a launchpad for community healing.

Play More has this wild and wonderful dream to bring Charlotte adults together to help each other remember how to play more, rest more, and seek more wonder. You deserve to do more than survive. You deserve to play more.

What is Play Day?

Play Day is a magical collaboration between Play More Charlotte, small businesses, and creatives from throughout CLT! This event is for ages 18+ only. Children are lovingly, respectfully NOT admitted, so that you can focus on your own joy and wonder without the responsibility of supervising kids. We've hosted three Play Day events so far in three of the most vibrant, magical spaces Charlotte has to offer--Victoria Yards, TAOH Outdoor Gallery, and Blume Studios. Our most recent Play Day (Oct. 2025) featured collaborations with HOMEplxce Retreats, Align & Spiral, Charlotte White Bounce House, WonderTree, and Game Show Battle Rooms, plus a local vendor market and 20 different playful activations from bubbles and the ball pit, to silent disco musical chairs and kandi bracelet making.
